There’s something about a chunky knit that reassures you, winter’s not all that bad. The Montpellier, is one such knit. A superhero amongst sweaters. Continue reading
Finally I’m back on the blog after an unplanned hiatus. The reason being myself and my husband have made the big move back to Toronto – who knew moving country would be so time consuming?? (tongue firmly in cheek!).
The last year at home in Ireland has been an absolute blast. Catching up with family and friends, not forgetting all the road trips. When we left Canada last year we had a mission to visit some of Ireland’s towns and sites that we hadn’t yet visited. The Giant’s Causeway and Croagh Patrick being two of the highlights. I’ve stacks of photos to share on the blog, so stay tuned!
These photos are the last outfit photos taken at home in Ireland. Busy with the move I didn’t get a chance to share. Back in basics, it’s fair to say a colour palette of greys and blacks are still a favourite of mine. I picked up the leather look skirt in Zara, the asymmetrical zip detailing was the clincher for me. Also I scored the AllSaints peep toe boots at Kildare Village – delighted with my last buy in Ireland (if you ever make the trip to Ireland, a stop at Kildare Village is a must for shopping!).

My white out love continues and here are just a few pieces I have my eye on for summer.
Tip; The addition of accessories in metallic tones creates balance and is a good option for anyone feeling hesitant of the full on white on white look!
Finally coatless! Even if it’s for one day only and I’m snug in a high neck knit. I’m still marking a big fat X on the calendar. Dust down the deck chairs and grab your factor 30 – summer is on the horizon! Over ambitious? Absolutely and I’m making no apologies. The weather this past couple of months has me contemplating some type of Ark investment! So trust me, each dry, bright day counts. And the rescue of my boyfriend jeans and sunglasses from the depths of wardrobe oblivion is one step closer to summer sun.
Not forgetting my Nicholas Kirkwoord x Erdem ankle boots on this long list of firsts. My very last purchase before I left Toronto, bought in the height of summer from The Room. I remember struggling with the fact that I was already well over weight in the luggage department. But the overzellous sale tag won out and with some very determined packing the boots made it safely home.
THINK PINK – Fantastic news #nomakeupselfie has raised over €1 million for the Irish Cancer Society. Well done to all the gals and guys who took part. I posted mine on my Facebook page. To take part post a bare faced selfie with the hashtag #nomakeupselfie. In Ireland Text PINK to 50300 to donate €4
Firstly apologies, the above photo look’s like how I’m feeling tonight – a little blurry! I blame an overzealous Saturday night for my blurry head and the cold weather for a rushed job on the snaps. That and the fact that our quiet little back street was all of a sudden bustling full of tourists once the camera starting clicking. I guess it’s to be expected, choosing a location beside Ireland’s most famous brewery. Home of the black stuff – Guinness HQ. The price you pay having Dublin’s gorgeous cobbled streets as your back drop. Continue reading
There’s nothing like changing season’s to add an element of danger to dressing. Not quite winter and not quite spring. Everyday is an Irish day – you never know what you’re going to get! So layering is not only stylish but very essential. These shots were taken on a rare spring like day. Dressed in layers of quilted leather, denim, camo and knit, I was pretty cosy playing tourist at home and taking in some trails at The Curragh. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram for lot’s more snaps and adventures as #livingeasydiscoversireland.
