Back in my old stomping ground of Queen St West. It’s definitely one of my favourite streets in Toronto for whiling away a Saturday. Dotted with independent boutiques, quirky restaurants, cool little coffee spots and not forgetting the leafy green Trinity Bellwoods Park. On this particular Saturday the park was hosting a vintage market. We spent a fine hour or two browsing clothing racks, bargain bins and lot’s of unique industrial furniture finds. Continue reading
There’s something about a chunky knit that reassures you, winter’s not all that bad. The Montpellier, is one such knit. A superhero amongst sweaters. Continue reading
Finally I’m back on the blog after an unplanned hiatus. The reason being myself and my husband have made the big move back to Toronto – who knew moving country would be so time consuming?? (tongue firmly in cheek!).
The last year at home in Ireland has been an absolute blast. Catching up with family and friends, not forgetting all the road trips. When we left Canada last year we had a mission to visit some of Ireland’s towns and sites that we hadn’t yet visited. The Giant’s Causeway and Croagh Patrick being two of the highlights. I’ve stacks of photos to share on the blog, so stay tuned!
These photos are the last outfit photos taken at home in Ireland. Busy with the move I didn’t get a chance to share. Back in basics, it’s fair to say a colour palette of greys and blacks are still a favourite of mine. I picked up the leather look skirt in Zara, the asymmetrical zip detailing was the clincher for me. Also I scored the AllSaints peep toe boots at Kildare Village – delighted with my last buy in Ireland (if you ever make the trip to Ireland, a stop at Kildare Village is a must for shopping!).

When the sun is shinning, there really is no place better than Ireland. And today in between cloud cover, was one of those days! In true Irish fashion, I made the most of every ray of sun, dressed in a festival vibe exploring the gorgeous countryside. It’s funny how style evolves having previously swore I would never wear overalls. I shiftly ditched such promises as soon as I clapped eyes on these Only denim overalls at our #OpshFashTag photo shoot. Luckily as part of our prize, we were given the choice of one outfit to take home. Needless to say the overalls, in all their distressed denim goodness found a new home with me. I guess my lesson learned, is when it comes to fashion never say never!
I’d love to hear any of your fashion change of hearts? Feel free to share in the comments.x
Floral Print Blazer – Zara // Tee – All Saints // Jeans – Rag and Bone // Belt – Aldo Boots Miss KG // Bag – Mulberry
Floral print is a far cry from my usual minimal vibe. That being said, there was something about this kimono-esque style blazer that instantly caught my eye. In fact, once spotted dangling from a Zara sale rack, it was grabbed and bagged in an instant! I should clarify – bagged by the cashier and not by me… just incase you had any ideas! The bold colour and print is a welcomed addition to my basic-laden wardrobe. As seen here, paired with jeans and a tee it adds a ‘dressed up’ element to the look but one that’s comfortable and never overdone. In a nutshell, a fantastic buy for me.
I almost forgot to mention that you can catch me posting all things fashion on Pulp Interest, check out my latest post here.
What a difference a day makes – the sun is splitting the stones today! So I’m taking a break from the DIY project for a wander in the sun. The perfect excuse to get out of my dusty work gear and get a last wear of some Summer staples. Bright, light and comfortable, it’s no wonder these items were on heavy rotation this summer. I hope you are all enjoying the weather… x
