Use soft furnishings like throws and cushions to add warmth and style.
Now that summer has finally arrived, it’s time for a little patio inspiration. There’s something about apartment living or even city living for that matter, that makes you appreciate the great outdoors. Be it hiking local Toronto trails and parks or sitting in a friend’s garden for a summer BBQ. I love any excuse to get outside and enjoy the fresh air and summer weather. When we picked our apartment last October one major draw was the balcony / patio. Not that it’s huge by any means. But for downtown standards, it’s a decent size with a good view of the city.
Since we’ve been hibernating all winter, we’re eager to move outdoors now that summer is here. We’ve picked some of the key pieces – the BBQ, some flooring, patio furniture and an outdoor rug. But now it’s time to make the space feel more lived in, like home.The last few weeks I’ve been gathering photos on Pinterest, getting lot’s of ideas. 2015 Intention & Thing’s to Do
A little late to the party on this post, but I’m a firm believer of the it’s better late than never philosophy. So we’ve turned the page on another New Year – 2015! Meaning there’s no time like the present to dust off bad habits, and embrace a brand spanking new outlook for the year ahead. Some years I’ve set goals, others resolutions, and there was one or two where I set none – I was just going to live it!
This year along with a little list of “Thing’s to Do”, I’ve decided to set an intention. My intention for 2015 is to;
I’M DITCHING RESOLUTIONS & ADOPTING A NEW PHILOSOPHY
2013 I am starting fresh, no more resolutions and no more expectations, I am simply going to start living the life I’ve been pinning…my new philosophy and a reminder that life is precious and each day is special so you need to come out from your computer/smart phone/iPad or laptop screen more often and start living it.
Stop procrastinating, stop self doubting, stop comparing your life to others, stop wishing and wanting, you are the only person who can make your life the one you want to live, no-one else is going to do this for you.
So live the life you pin, cook the recipes, visit the places, wear the clothes, make the DIYs but most importantly just start living!
